“LIVING WITH A GODDESS”

She descended with the waning moon, light as a fairy, just prior to ‘Mahashivarathiri’!

Her flowing gait lit up the streets and put the enveloping darkness to sleep.

… Here and there she wafted around, savouring each and every second of her new surroundings. But always her purpose was strong and her actions sure. Yet there was always the glimmer of another perfection to come, in every step and utterances and sound. Even in the massing throngs, and festival lights, on the hallowed grounds of Isha, the divine day of ‘Mahashivarathiri’ seemed to synchronize with her being and highlighted her presence, unsurpassed by the umbrella shadow of the enlightened Master himself.

Blissfully unaware of her magical persona, She gravitated to the tunes of the mesmerizing music and hypnotising chants of the devoted artistes, who offered their instincts and touched our souls, all inspired by the Master’s emanating energies.

Her crystal shell ravaged by the day’s heat and feasted upon by every eye, eventually succumbed to a day’s bout of high fever. It broke me into bits to watch her accept that suffering too, and revitalize herself with ancient potions framed by distant knowledge and fresh fruits to cure, every vampire bite of her effervescent energy, that was lost among those million eyes, at the rapturous gathering I had hastened her to.

… Through the closed door that separated her from the outside, wafted a scent of that Divine presence and it spurred me onto create more inspiring dreams in green and of her earthy nature enclosed by a shining shell, which I chose to translate and shape for others to revel in.

… Oblivious to the rest, her brilliant mind perceived the best, and introduced me to the healing scents of lavender and geranium, while she picked and chose the herbs that would aid, and their essence that freed numerous minds and physicality’s in pain. 

Then, Rishikesh!

Evening eased us back to the plains and the plans we had hatched and change many a train to the land of the Himalayan foothills that nestled beside the Holy river, the Mother Ganges!

To my ever-widening surprise, even Haridwar was mellow, as her calming presence mirrored the outside to me. …

She took control of my diet and reformed my habits, though I was in little need of food and sleep, in bliss as I was, in company of the Goddess!

… Her discipline and detachment with regard to her body, as she stretched and walked and treated her long frame to lithe and supple technologies, so they ever remain in electrostatic efficiency, slowly did rub off on me and I rediscovered the same in me, helped generously by her ever-flowing energy. The Yoga returned and so did my soul crave, for those mornings devoid of lethargy. I grew into myself and felt the revival, spurred by the AngeL I had prayed for to descend, into my life that was meandering into doubt and anarchy.

… And it had passed, those days filled with magic and anticipation of spiritual treats that the next day would bring, with a Goddess by my side!

So we returned to Delhi, from where we would part, She to pursue her spiritual path, through Lumbini and Muktinath, and I to return, down to my home, to the room which I no longer owned, the sanctuary which she had inhabited, now just a shell of minimal furniture, with a few books as a reminder, To await the day she will descend, to be amongst

Us Mortals again!!”
